This week has been a lesson in dopey land. I had a tooth pulled on Tuesday. Poor dentist. I think I scared the heck out of him. I'm always convinced, when they did that needle into my gun, that my throat will close up. (yes, it did once before. A long long time ago) I had a dentist and three assisstants hovering over me.
The procedure itself wasn't bad. A couple of push-pulls, one yank and it was out.
Since then, it's been the penicillin and Tyelnol with Codeine, combined with Benedryl (for allergies) that has made me so dippy. I don't dare drive. So, I'm in bed, sleeping on and off.
Life is virtually on hold. I have started sending out announcements. Funny thing. Tit-for-tat, I believe I call it. I received an ad on email and I re-addressed it with my own book announcement. Unfortunately, the reply got kicked back. Go figure.
I will be in Schaumber on the 28th, helping to man the Sisters In Crime booth for the Great Lakes Independent Sellers Trade Show. Never been to one of those. Looking forward to it. I would have made the 3 days, but I didn't have 100 copies to give away.
Give aways: By the way AuthorIsland is holding a contest for me. You answer 3 questions and the best answers receive (drum roll please) one signed copy of the new edition of In the Arms of the Enemy, a tea lamp with a horse, a candle to go in it, and some fragrences. The goal? For you to sit in a nice hot bath of water, all the lights out, in a luxurious bath thinking great literary thoughts.
With that, I'm out of here. I think I may be falling asleep.
